Casa Grande is 45 minutes from Phoenix to the northwest, and an hour
from Tucson to the southeast and is the interstate hub to the major
markets in the southwest, as it is strategically located at the
intersection of two major interstates, I-10 and I-8.
Founded in 1879 and incorporated in 1915, Casa Grande is named for
the famous Hohokam Indian ruins 20 miles to the northeast. Casa
Grande is the second largest community in Pinal County with an
estimated year-round population of more than 35,000 residents.
Casa Grande offers a broad range of facilities and activities
including a senior center, museums, library, fitness clubs, and golf
courses. The City of Casa Grande has three mini parks, 13
neighborhood parks, four community parks and three regional parks.
State-of-the art medical care is available at Casa Grande Regional
Medical Center, area clinics and primary-care specialists and other
health services.
Excellent area schools provide quality education to students of all
ages, from preschool through college, Central Arizona College.
Numerous shopping options area are available in Casa Grande, from
retailers, specialty stores, shops in the historic downtown
district, the Outlets at Casa Grande to unique products available
from local artisans and artists.
